Wine seasons
Throwing traditional wine & food pairing convention out the windowThere are some hard and fast "rules" on food pairings with wine. We can be specific about the grape varietal too, but I choose my wine by season! Yes a juicy steak pairs well with red, but if I'm outside on the deck and it's warm and sunny?... I'm probably drinking a Savignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio. If we are enjoying a delicious grilled salmon, but it's January and we are inside by a fire- I'm enjoying a Malbec or Pinot Noir! That's right- I am a "self proclaimed" seasonal wine drinker. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy a traditional pairing of wine with food, I just like to celebrate the seasons with my wine choices. Now without question, the wine for me for ALL seasons is Sparkling- Proseco, Champagne, Cava I love it all! Anything with bubbles is fun!Pinot's Palette-Dulles will be opening our studio space soon. We look forward to hosting wine tastings and food sampling in our gourmet shop. Painting and wine tasting! That will be fun for ALL seasons!Like and follow us on FaceBook or check our website to keep posted on our lease signing, and build out process!
