Your Color Your Style
At the heart of any fashion, style, decor choice is COLOR! We make decisions as a consumer based on color too. Learning our colors is one of the very first things we learn along with our ABC's. We then learn about primary colors and mixing colors as well. We also have favorite colors.Color can invoke strong feelings, both good and bad. Some colors are more palatable in small doses- an accent color. When it comes to Home Decor, a fun way to add personality to a room is with color! Before committing to a dominant color for all the walls, why not decorate the walls with art!
If you see a featured painting on our calendar that you don't like the colors, or it wouldn't fit into your decor? Let us know, and by all means- unleash your color creativity!
You can enjoy a fun night out and create a masterpiece to decorate your space with your personality. Did you know that when you paint with Pinot's Palette-Dulles, if you want to change the colors of the featured painting being instructed, you can!? In fact we encourage it.
Let's look at the primary colors, black and white. What traits are most commonly associated with these colors:
Red- Stimulating, Vibrant, Passionate
Yellow- Friendly, Cheerful, Warm
Blue- Trustworthy, Secure, Responsible
Black- Exclusive, Prestigious, Luxe
White- Pure, Innocent, Practical
The psychology of color is fascinating. Like with wine varietals we all have our preferences.
Here is my opinion on the bottom line of color (and wine) selection: It makes no difference what experts, trends, or opinionated friends say- if you like how it looks; paint it. If you like how it tastes; drink it!
Ultimately if you are happy drinking a Chardonnay in an orange room! CHEERS! Or a Malbec in a beige room with lots of colorful art, CHEERS!
Join us to paint and taste and we will happily help you change the colors and try many varietals!
Cheers!
