Fun from Home
Because of our new normal, there are more ways to join the Pinot's Palette fun!
BUT... at Pinot's Palette Dulles, we are staying positive and working out fun ways to stay healthy, positive and continue to be creative.
There are days when it is just overwhelming. Then there are days when we are simply grateful for our loyal and supportive customers who are painting and having fun. This keeps us going.
Staying connected through social media and virtually helps us too. On a positive note, we are learning new skills and have discovered more ways to bring art and fun to our community.
Shout out to our NOVA Fun Seekers! This community has been such a friendly and encouraging group.
Sharing your art and encouragement with us and each other brings such Joy! Thank you.
We will continue to offer Facebook Live painting classes in the group. We are also preparing to welcome guests back to paint in the studio with extra disinfecting protocols & safe distancing. In addition to our studio events, we are working on a "virtual ticket" allowing you to paint from home along with us in the studio.
The plan is to offer both virtual and in studio events. Some will be a dual experience. More details about our re-opening and virtual events will be in our Insider emails. We will follow local and State government mandates and consider your safety and the safety of #bestteameva as we roll out new programs.
It looks like we will need to wear masks/face coverings- So we have some fun ones for sale ($12) in our shop. We are considered an essential retail business in the wine shop, and will continue to offer curbside/no contact pick ups too.
The ability to offer Live (virtual) painting events has made it possible for more people in our community to experience the fun. We know there is no substitute to being in the studio with #bestteameva, we get it! Now with at home and on demand options you can paint on your own schedule. With FB live and/or a local private Zoom event you can see your favorite artists too!
Recently, NOVA Fun Seeker, Deborah came in to pick up more paint kits for her and her daughter, Rebecca and maybe some cider too "I love the ability to watch the recording, because there are times after working a long shift I'm so excited to paint, but then start feeling really tired. I can get some sleep and finish the next day" she commented. "I would not be able to do that if we were painting in the studio." There are times when we have a painting on the calendar that Deborah and others like her would love to paint, but can't make it. Now she never has to miss out. (Deborah is a nurse - THANK YOU for all you do!)
And this same week I got all the "feels" after receiving an email from Rebecca
"Hi Robyn!
Hope everything is going good with you. Work has been keeping me busy, so I haven't seen you in person in ages!! I'm painting jubilant jellyfish tomorrow, but I haven't gotten the link yet. Thought I'd email you, not just as a reminder, but also to say "hi" and "I hope we'll all get back to laughing, singing along to 80s pop and oh, yeah...painting in person really soon! Stay safe and happy."
For the record I did get her the link. We can't wait to see her Jubilant Jellyfish.
