inspiring moms
Inspiration comes from many places. People, nature, music, art (of course), wine (duh) and everyday things. For moms, inspiration is a must. We seek daily inspiration for our mental and physical health. And we can be the source of inspiration for others too.So I thought I'd post about how daily inspiration can influence our over all attitude. My youngest son is now 18 (oh man how did that happen). He is graduating High School and off to Christopher Newport University in the Fall- Go Captains! I have friends who have small children and even babies on the way! I am so inspired by the moms who seem to be so patient while they are scrambling to keep the littles safe, fed, educated, and most of all happy.
I read a great saying when my oldest (now 20) was graduating," The days are long; but the years are short" How true that is! So when I hear a screaming toddler in the store- I simply smile and remember those days and think- wow I actually miss it. And it makes me think twice before getting upset with my boys for leaving a mess in the kitchen or having to ask them for the umpteenth time to take out the trash... I will miss it someday.
Its funny how at a certain time in our life we just want to get out and have time "off" and then we get to a point where we just want an hour or two to spend time together! So my friends who are at the stage of wanting to have a "break"- go for it! You deserve it and I wish you inspiration to find something that fulfills your need. And for me and friends at this same stage I hope we can inspire our children to spend time with us and truly enjoy it.
Of course both scenarios are perfect for a Paint and Sip event! :)
Take some me time, or have a date night. Or paint with your teenagers and adult children!
