A little about your blogger

Hello Orange County Paint and Sippers!!!My name is Scott Lockerd and I am the studio manager and owner here at Pinot’s Palette - Tustin. I wanted to introduce myself and give you a little insight about why I love what I do and a little about who I am. I went to my first paint and sip studio in Denver with my wife, Cherisse, a couple years ago. My work at the time involved traveling across the world and the USA. I had many fantastic experiences but I was desperate to do something that would allow me to spend more time with my family. As luck would have it, my wife picked a local paint and sip in Denver as our date night activity. Honestly, I was a little reluctant, but we ended up having a blast! On my way out of town a few months later, I texted my wife and asked if she wanted to move to California and open up a paint and sip studio of our own. She thought I was kidding! I had to reassure her (more than once) that I wasn’t. I was done with cold Colorado winters (hellllllllllllo California sun!) and wanted to give this fun concept a try. Now fast forward about a year and here we are - about to open our own studio in an awesome location at The District in the heart of Orange County. I find myself learning new things each and every day and loving every aspect of art expression though our paintings (even though my wife and I are NOT artists). I love feeling like this isn’t work - because that saying is true - if you love what you do you’ll never work a day in your life. I can’t wait for us to open and bring art to the masses and give folks a great escape to enjoy a night out. I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such fantastic staff members and amazing customers. You’ll see my wife I’m sure by my side many nights. We are so excited to share our passion of a fun night out with all of you and can’t wait for our opening next month. I hope to see you all soon!~Scott
