TOTE-ally Adorable Bags, Made For A Great Cause!
We ordered a bunch of duffle bags, simply solid-colored upon arrival, and worked a little artsy magic on them as we turned them into some cheery, decorated masterpieces! The goal is to give them to foster children for ’Together We Rise’, non-profit organization comprised of motivated young adults and former foster youth. Their vision is to improve the lives of children in foster care, who often find themselves forgotten and neglected by the public. They collaborate with individuals, companies, and community partners to bring resources to foster youth and use service-learning activities to educate volunteers on issues surrounding the foster care system.
'Together We Rise’ works with hundreds of foster agencies, social workers, CASA advocates, and other partners to bring our programs to foster youth across the nation. Our foundation has allowed us to provide thousands of foster youth across the country with new bicycles, college supplies, and sweet cases so that children do not have to travel from home to home with their belongings in a trash bag.
‘Together We Rise’ states that "The first step to helping foster kids is deciding how you would like to help.”
Our owners, Scott and Cherisse, decided on ’Sweet Cases’ one of the many ways that TWR offers to help; This is where you can decorate duffel bags for foster children, complete with a teddy bear, hygiene kit, and blanket. Most children entering foster care receive just two trash bags for their belongings, but they deserve so much more!
The company sent some bags our way and we got busy, putting some art on them to give them personality and happiness.

From airplanes and rockets to funny and fluffy animals, our team shared their talents and good hearts with the amazing organization. We hope that every child who receives a bag will gain smile from the personalized artwork and just knowing that so many people out there care about them and their well-being.

In addition to our duffel bag painting party, we offering ‘Painting It Forward’ classes where the proceeds of the class go towards helping a good cause. There are so may organizations, both local and nation-wide, that are aways accepting donations for their cause. We try and give back to nonprofits and other local organizations, especially, since we are so fortunate to be a part of this community that has welcomed our business with open arms. From St Jude’s Hospital and local animal rescues, to natural disaster relief and other organizations, we try and do what we can to reach out and give something back (**So be sure to always check out calendar for classes that we might have coming up).
