NO Rules! Make YOUR Art, YOUR Way!
While there are many art critics out there who have the upper hand in (officially) declaring what is and is not art, and we value them for their extensive knowledge, we don’t believe they are the only ones who can decide if something is “art”. We LOVE our job because we get to help people discover their inner-artist, every day. We have so many customers who come into the studio and tell us that they aren’t sure they’ll be able to paint… and then those same customers, proudly leave with their masterpiece at the end of the class, realizing that they actually could paint, all along!
It’s incredibly rewarding to be in the business of helping “first-time” painters, get in touch with their creative side and put it too good use. Spending time with friends, sipping some wine, and listening to some great music while you paint along with the instructor’s step-by-step directions, is always fun! When you attend one of our classes, you’ll be taught how to paint the picture that you signed up for. While many of our customers follow the instructor exactly, we have a good amount of them that do there own thing! Once you start getting into the swing of the painting process, you might find yourself, wanting to venture out and play around with colors and some different ways to create your masterpiece. We absolutely LOVE when we see these special, one of a kind paintings, where the artist decided to take a risk and try something new. We always tell people to not get stressed or upset if there painting doesn't turn out just like the instructor's... that's a GOOD THING! It's wonderful, at the end of the night, to observe everyone's painting and see how their individuality played into their final painting. We love to see how each painting is different from the others, making them truly one of a kind and unique to their creators!
Creating your own work of art can be as simple as following along with the instructor (who will gladly assist you with anything you need), or as detailed as you creating your OWN painting, from start to finish that looks nothing like everyone else’s! Make a painting from what moves you and don’t be afraid to be different… artists love that kind of thing! You can change the color of the background in your painting to better match your home’s decor, alter the style of flowers you add into your floral painting, or turn a winter landscape into a summer one. You’re the artist, it’s your canvas and your creation; Do what makes you happy!
Whatever you get out of a painting and wine class at Pinot’s Palette will be positive, as new experiences are always a good thing, no matter the outcome. To try something different and gain more knowledge in this world, always promotes personal growth and you’re better off for having tried something new. We have tons of styles of classes, from landscapes and floral paintings, to animals, people, and more!
