Give Your October Night Out Some Personality in the Short North
There is the usual “Where should we go?” conversation, and then there is October. Suddenly a ghost painting, a blacklight night or a costume sounds like a perfectly reasonable starting point. If you want an evening in Columbus that gives you something to talk about the next morning, start with the October 2026 calendar at Pinot’s Palette Short North.
An October night out does not have to wait for Halloween weekend. Choose something on the calendar that makes you smile, then build the evening around it. Our studio is at 691 North High Street, Suite 101, so you can make the painting your main plan and leave time for a meal before or afterward.
For an early taste of the season, Spooktacular Starry Night is Friday, October 2, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Prefer something that glows? Electric Aurora is a blacklight event on Friday, October 9, at the same time. They are two different ways to give a regular Friday a little more personality.
Give your date something to do together
Painting gives an evening a shared focus. You can compare colors, see how differently you approach the same canvas and spend a couple of hours making something with your hands. Our artists guide the painting step by step, so your invitation does not have to begin with “Are you good at art?”
Strolling with My Boo is Saturday, October 10, from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. That later start gives you room to plan dinner first. Book your class before arranging the rest of the evening, and check current parking options so you can arrive without rushing.
Your friends can bring the Halloween energy
For the friend who already has a costume idea, Bitten on Saturday, October 17, from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. welcomes costumes. For readers who want a different kind of book-club outing, Dungeon Besties on Thursday, October 29, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. is listed with DCC trivia and cosplay welcome. Send the specific event link when you invite people so everyone books the same session.
There is room for a quieter October, too
Fall does not have to be all late nights and spooky scenes. The Fall Pumpkin Wood Tray event on Sunday, October 4, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. turns an afternoon together into a seasonal project for home. Browse the artwork and choose something you would enjoy seeing long after the outing is over.
