Ah, yes… The beach…
Who doesn’t love the warm sun, cool water, and soft sand, all making for a fun and relaxing experience, all season long. A light breeze, some suntan lotion, a cold drink in your hand, and friends and family, gathered together for a day at the beach. Whether your planning on a fantastic vacation or just some days, here and there, the beach is one of the best places in the world to be, for anyone at any age!
If you love the beach and it’s always played a role in your life, you’ve undoubtedly walked the shoreline and gathered some lovely finds, from time to time; shells, rocks, sea glass, and other odds and ends that might have washed up, have been admired and maybe even kept for sentimental reasons. Take all outhouse old, worn, and individual pieces and put them together to make something amazing that you’ll treasure for years to come! We’ve listed just a few of our favorite ideas for recycling those beachy items and shared them for you to try! 1. JEWELRY
As shells are tumbles around in the ocean, they wear down over time. Many times you’ll find some with holes in them and these make the PERFECT pieces for a simple necklace or bracelet, as you can just thread a chain through them! Paint them a solid color for a polished piece or just leave them raw for natural look.

2. PHOTO FRAME
Everything from shells, rocks, seagrass, and even sand can be added to a picture frame or around the frame of a mirror for a statement piece your home will LOVE! Arrange your beach finds onto the frame and use a strong glue like ‘E6000’ to secure the shells and other items. Remember there are always great things to find at your local craft store if you need more shells or glass (and even fancy things like sand dollars and starfish) to add onto your frame!

4. MOSAICS
Use small shells and glass, broken piece of things that are found in the ocean, stones, and more to lay down and make into a work of art! Create a gorgeous serving tray, a wooden initial, stepping stones, photo frames, and more wit the easy-to-do and 'fun for the kids to help with’ process of creating a mosaic artwork!

5. USE THEM AS FILLERS
Take your beach finds and add them into a clear lamp base, a bowl, or in a vase for a natural work of art that holds some great memories! Put a candle in the middle of a try or bowl and arrange seashells and sea glass around it for a lovely centerpiece of accent in your home’s decor.
Get a fillable, glass lamp bases online or check out your local stores, as they’re very ‘in' right now! These can be changed out to fit the season, so think about leaves or pinecones in the fall and holly, pine, or ornaments in the winter!

6. ORNATE LETTERS
Stop by your local craft store and grab the wooden initial (or letters to spell a word) in the font and size of your choice. Get some strong glue like 'E600' or ‘Bond’ and anything else you want to add to them and get crafting!
