Resolutions To Live By & Ways To Stick With Them This Year
With the year, coming to an end yet again, people tend to reflect on the days of the past year and decide how they’d like to change for the upcoming 365 day cycle. With only about 9% of people keeping their resolutions for the year, and the majority, only making them last about 3 weeks, we certainly know it’s not always easy to keep those resolutions!
We’ve provided a list of the top 50 resolutions for your new year, and have chosen our 3 favorites to highlight. We’ve also included some ideas for how to best keep those promises you make to yourself when the clock strikes midnight on December 31.

*Journal your way healthy by being held accountable by a daily track of how you're doing. Log what you eat, how much water you drink, and what workout you did. Be sure to include daily, weekly, and monthly goals, as you go. Rewards yourself with non-food presents as incentive to keep going!

(2) TRY NEW THINGS AND TAKE MORE CHANCES
It’s been said that “The biggest risk is not taking one.”
We couldn’t agree more. People tend to be creatures of habit. It’s sometimes hard to break away from our comfy, safe routines to go for something bigger or better... to try something new... to change something big in our lives... but those are the moments that help to define us.
Be sure to force yourself to try some new things this year. Perhaps just promise yourself one new, HUGE thing for the year, or something small, every month, until you can try something, small each week, then every day, even!
Travel, meet new people, try a new type of food...
You’ll never be sorry you tried something new; that you had an experience, unique to you, whether it was a success or failure. You’re growing, learning, and experiencing life!

*Take Photos!
Keep up with every new experience with lots of pics! You’ll always have your phone (let’s be real)... which means always having a camera. Overload your Instagram account with these photo, impressing and INSPIRING others, as you go!
Print them out to hang around you home, reminding you of the fun adventures you created for yourself, and all of the other things out there you still need to try!

(3) REDUCE STRESS
*Stress eats up WAY too much of our lives! From traffic to work deadlines, making it to our kids’ activities and school on time, cooking, cleaning, and more... stress sucks!
Stop letting this awful time wasting, energy depriving thing into our precious lives and moments and work to minimize it!
*Learn to project positivity-
Try to have the constant mindset of positivity. We know it’s super hard sometimes but the more you tell yourself positive things, the more you’ll begin to train yourself to think that way, without even trying! Your positive outlook and mantras will even help to inspire positivity in the world around you.
*Learn to meditate-

*Keep a journal.
List how you felt at the end of each day and things you did for the day. Being able to visualize what stressors were in your life each day and what you did to help reduce the stress will allow you to see the ways YOU conquered your anxiety and stress. It’ll give you such a feeling of strength to know you can control the way some things affect you, helping you to more easily and seamlessly do so, each time you’re faced with some of those things!
