Express Yourself Through Art
"The beauty of art is that there is no right or wrong in it. It is just the expression of life."Art is a powerful tool that can help you express yourself and your emotions. The benefits of art therapy are well documented. It is beneficial for people with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, sexual abuse, or post-traumatic stress disorder. With creative activities such as drawing, painting, and sculpting, you can explore difficult feelings like anger or fear in an environment where they won’t overwhelm you. Art also provides a healthy escape from reality when we need to take time out for ourselves or feel down about something specific that’s happening in our lives. If this sounds like something that might interest you, then read on.
Don't ever let anybody -- you, the product packaging, a friend, a teacher, an expert -- tell you that there's a right and wrong when making art. You can certainly listen to the advice of other artists who've learned from their own experiments over time. However it's your own experience that will bring you closer to creating the kind of art you want to. There's no substitute for simply spending time playing with supplies and pushing past your own boundaries. In my opinion, frustration and boredom both lead to invention.
While expressing our own creativity is beneficial to us in more ways than one, Art can go deeper than many people realize. Art can be about more than just being crafty, it can be about self-discovery, self-esteem, empowerment, and emotional release. At this point, you may be thinking “how?”
Let’s explain:
Self-Discovery
Creating art can help to unravel many layers. And the more you unravel, the deeper your understanding of yourself gets and can help you to realize things that have been hiding in your subconscious mind. In the long run this can help you to envision a beautiful life you want, based on your own individual needs, wants, and wishes.
Self-Esteem When you make art and watch the process from start to finish it can help you to gain a feeling of self-accomplishment, which can be valuable in improving your confidence and self-appreciation. If expressing yourself through creating artwork can make you feel good about yourself, why not give it a try?
Emotional Release
Art can give you a healthy space to express and let go of your feelings and fears in a very unique way. Sometimes we all struggle with expressing our emotions in a healthy way through words. Creating many different forms of art has been a positive outlet for me personally to let go of negative emotions and express myself without needing words, and I hope that it can be something that helps you too!

How do You Define What is Art?
A quarter and your opinion will buy you a gum ball. That is all.
3+3 in art can equal 5, 20, 6, 55 or whatever you want it to be. You make the rules.
You can put a Popsicle stick next to a cotton ball and say it is art. Some people sell works like this for insane amounts of money. To us they look like trash. If you ever become famous as an artist for your Popsicle stick pieces, please send us some royalties.
I can hear you saying “that is rubbish, that is not art!”.
Well, it is actually, if the artist thinks it is. We could go down a very large rabbit hole on that point but let us not digress.
“Art is in the eye of the beholder"
