How to Plan the Perfect Friendsgiving
Friends are the family we choose, and they deserve to be celebrated this year at a perfect Friendsgiving party. Here at Pinot’s Palette – Bricktown we’re making it a point to spend November being thankful for great friends, good wine, and blissful creativity!
Check out our calendar of upcoming events & create new traditions with your friends that will leave you with memories that last a lifetime!
While wine is a given at our painting parties, many guests don’t realize that they can also bring the perfect snacks to share with their group! Whether you plan a private party or attend one of our public events you’ll find that painting with us is the perfect way to laugh, sing and enjoy your friends all night long! Here are some great ideas to make your Friendsgiving into more than just a meal!
The first step is inviting all your friends! A great way to organize this is by creating an event on Facebook where you can invite all of your guests, keep track of who is planning on coming, send reminders and organize who is going to bring what so that you don’t end up with six cheese plates! You can even add a link to the specific class that you’re attending so that someone doesn’t accidentally sign-up for the wrong date! Encourage everyone to purchase their seats as soon as you’ve picked the perfect painting to ensure that there are still seats available for the whole group!
Luckily, we’re here to help with step 2! We’ve already got the wine! Our bar is stocked with all of the usual favorites from Moscato to Cabernet Sauvignon; you’re sure to find something to pair with all of the tasty snacks you're going to have! Not to mention that in November we’re going to be bringing back the ever-popular Hot Cider Sangria! The best thing about making this recipe is that it’s not only going to warm you up from the inside out but it’s going to add a wonderful aroma to the room that will be sure to bring those feelings of thankfulness to the forefront of your mind!
Hot Cider Sangria
In a Crockpot or Stovetop Pot Heat up the following:
• 3-4 Sticks of Cinnamon
• 2 Small Oranges cut into very thin circles
• 6 Cups of Apple Cider
• If using a Crockpot turn it on high and if using a stovetop place the pot over medium heat.
In a mug mix:
• 6 Oz. of a wine of your choice, we like to use Merlot
• Fill with cider
• Top with an orange slice
Step 3 is the really fun part! Have your guests do a pot-luck to bring the perfect fall finger foods to share. We have food tables set up in the studio and provide paper plates, cutlery and napkins, so all you have to do is bring a yummy appetizer to share. Hold to tradition and make a gorgeous cheeseball; it’s the perfect paint party food because it’s easy to transport and it’s always a crowd pleaser. We love this Cranberry Orange Cheeseball because it also brings a little dessert to the table, but if this recipe doesn’t satisfy, Pinterest is stuffed to the brim with delicious Friendsgiving recipes to try out!
