WILD about ANIMALS - AUGUST!
Feeling artsy and have a love of animals? Tap into your WILD and Creative side this August as we continue our "WILD About Animals" painting series at the Oklahoma City Zoo! Create your own masterpiece with the help of a Pinot's Palette artist and even meet an animal from the OKC Zoo education collection! On August 2nd we are painting the African Wild Dog, also known as the African Painted Dog, pretty fitting for this class, don't you think?!
At each of these classes not only do you get to enjoy a relaxing evening of painting one of our wildlife friends, you will also get to learn more about the featured animal from an OKC Zoo expert, AND get to meet a different animal from the education collection! Combining a few of our favorite things: Animals, Painting & FUN!
FUN FACTS about the African Wild Dog:
Did you know that No two wild dogs are marked exactly the same, making it easy to identify different individuals. Why such a pattern should develop, and how it serves the hunting dog, has long intrigued scientists.
Also, Wild dogs are usually on the move over a very large range, covering for example, some 900 square miles in the Serengeti. After a litter is born, however, they will limit their traveling and hunting to areas closer to the den.
We look forward to having a Wildly Good Time with you all in August!
