Cork Creatures
Make this adorable Cork Dracula in 6 easy steps!Supplies:
- Champagne cork
- Paint (flesh, white, black, red)
- Paintbrush
- Glue
- Rectangle piece of red felt
Step 1
Paint the cork with the flesh color paint. It took me 3 coats to make it even.
Step 2
Paint the hair and eyes with the black paint. The hair is like a wide heart shape. To do the eyes, I dipped the back of the paintbrush in black paint and touched it to the cork. It made a pretty even dot.
Step 3
Paint the shirt and teeth and eyes with the white paint. I painted a wide shirt area so it gave me more room to play. For the mouth, it is just a line with two triangles on each side. Then add 2 tiny white dots in the eyes!
Step 4
Paint the red. I left a triangle of white showing and painted the rest red. Then added a little bow tie in the middle of the white shirt area.
Step 5
Paint the rest of the jacket. Leave a "U" shape of red showing and the rest is black paint.
Step 6
Add the adorable cape! I put a dab of glue around the neck and pressed the felt in that area and held it there with a rubber band for a while. This allows the top and bottom to flare out.
Have fun making these! They're a great table accent for a creative Halloween season and can also be used to re-cork wine bottles if you glue the bottom of it to another wine bottle cork.
