Preparing for a Good Time: What Should You Wear to a Paint and Sip Party?
When they hear about paint and sip parties a lot of people think that it’s all about a formal gathering between art lovers. However, if you haven’t been to a paint party before, you should know that it can get rather messy. So that brand new dress or shirt you’ve just bought might not be the best choice when you’re up to your elbow in acrylic paint, or trying hard to prevent your clothes from touching the other participants’ easels when you move around. At Pinot's Palette, you are not really up to your elbow in paint, but we want to make sure a great evening isn't spoiled because a bit of paint accidentally splashed on your new fun shirt!Going to a paint party can be a lot of fun. So make sure you use only the most relaxing and comfortable clothing. You have to be able to move around easily, without any restraint, and you have to make sure that your clothing isn’t too heavy or warm – unless you’re up north and the heating system is broken.
Another tip is to use colorful clothes that you don’t mind splashing paint on. In all likelihood, using a clear, white shirt will not bode well. The shirt can easily get stained, and good luck getting the paint out fully once it dried.
Joining a paint party is all about having fun, and you shouldn’t have to worry about your clothes every second. So pick out your cheapest, liveliest and colorful clothes, and head there with confidence!
