Family Bonding
“Family is the most important thing in the world”- Princess DianaSometimes you just need a day that is spent solely with family. It’s important to constantly work on the bonds and relationships of your family members. So what are some activities you can do that involve that’ll foster growth and joy?
Picnic
Pack everybody's favorite sandwich and head to the park or beach. Make sure to bring a blanket/towel large enough for all family members to sit in a circle, that way everyone gets the chance to see each other. A circle is also a symbol of unity which is important for a family. Alongside delicious food, you can engage in a lighthearted game of frisbee or football!
Bowling
Nothing better than a little friendly competition between the family. Whether or not you want to put the bumper guards up is up to you, but it may be helpful to create an equal playing ground for those not as experienced. Nothing is better than having your family cheer you on while you try to bowl a strike! It’s also funny to take family pictures with the ugly bowling shoes on.
Movie Days
Designate days every month in which one family member gets to pick a movie of their choice. Then allow another family member to have full control over the snacks! Once the movie is over, gather at a cozy restaurant to discuss! This way everyone’s opinion gets to be heard and every person gets control over snacks and the movie choice every month. Of course be mindful of the content you choose, you don’t want to pick a scary movie that’ll keep your kids up at night!
