Best Memorial Day Hot Dogs
Can you believe how close it is to Memorial Day? While I am excited for the weather to finally getting nice, I am also a little sad that my quiet morning hours will be gone with the kids on summer break. So the best way to start off summer is with a Memorial Day BBQ. Whether or not you like hot dogs, I am sure you have a munchkin, or several, running around that love them. Here is a fun recipe from one of our favorite websites, Delish.
BEST CHEESY HOT DOGS
Ingredients
YIELDS: 4
1 can refrigerated crescent dough
4 slices cheddar cheese
4 hot dogs
3 tbsp. butter, melted
1 tbsp. finely chopped parsley
1/2 tsp. onion powder
kosher salt
Directions
PREP TIME: 0:10
TOTAL TIME: 0:35
Preheat oven to 350° and line a medium cooking sheet with parchment paper. Remove crescent dough from tin and separate into 4 rectangles.
Place two slices of cheddar in the center of the crescent dough. Top with hot dog. Fold short side of crescent dough over the hot dog, then the two long sides. Flip over onto baking sheet seam side down.
In a small bowl, combine melted butter with parsley, onion powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir together, then brush over tops of hot dogs. Bake until golden, 20 to 25 minutes. Serve with ketchup, if desired.
