Meet An Artist - Kristy
We are very fortunate to have an amazing group of very talented artists that come and sling paint around a canvas AND teach all of you how to do the same. It is not a very easy task, rest assured! But they all make it look so easy. Our first artist that we want to introduce you to is Kristy. She has been with us since we opened in July of 2016, and has impressed us along the way. Here is a little something from her...
My name is Kristy, I'm 26 years old and have lived in Kansas my whole life. I'm an artist and will use everything from a camera and computer or paint and brushes to create with. I have a graphic design degree from Johnson County Community College that's filled with fine art electives. My family is small and close with the core being my Dad and older brother. I have friends that I've kept in touch with since elementary school, and a boyfriend for 5 years. Fun fact is that I used to show horses in high school and I had my first dog for 20 years. Her whole life and my whole childhood. I'm also a night owl, so sunsets are so much better then sunrises. And that explains why I go to church Saturday night not Sunday morning. Last but not least, splatter painting always makes me smile, but I try to do it outside so there is less to clean up!
Kristy teaches almost every Sunday, so make sure to catch her in your class!
