How To Create a Gallery Wall
Gallery Walls are perfect for most homes. They can be big or small, they can work with weird ceiling angles, and even help camouflage awkward air vents. But there are some tips and tricks that can be applied.
First, Gallery Walls are meant to make a statement. They are meant to attract the eye. You can mix and match pictures, paintings, crosses, arrows, clocks, monograms, whatever you like. But before you start hanging, definitely make a dry run on the floor. You may discover that you have too much or too little in your collage of items.
Secondly, consider your surroundings. If you are going for an upscale look in your dining room, you may want to have monotone colors and metal items. Or maybe you are in your family room and want to surround everything with baby pictures of all of your munchkins. Your choice, but save your money and decide before you start to purchase.
Thirdly, if you are considering doing a family gallery, maybe try a theme. Perhaps put up pics of everyone when they were age 1, or only family vacation pictures. Sometimes, having a theme works out well.
Lastly, at the end of the day, make sure you love it. You and your family will be the ones that are looking at it day in and day out. So love it.
