First Day of School Activities
While parents can be excited that the school year is around the corner, there are a few that may not be as happy...students and teachers. Some may even be down right scared. Here are some fun activities that can be done in the classroom or at home to help transition from summer to school.
-New Years Resolution: Set goals for the year. Should they be learning to write or read? Have that goal clearly laid out for them.
-Switch!: If you have a shy kiddo, have them ask others just one simple question a day in order to learn about their peers. This can also be done in the classroom as a group. Ask about siblings, or summer vacations, or pets.
-Lunch Box Love Notes- even if your kiddo cannot read, you can send little hearts or smiley faces.
-Create a Time Capsule: this is a fun one. Even if it is just done with photos, put together important info from the first day of school so that you can look at it at the last day.
