Class Details
Come into Pinot's Palette to create your very own personalized garden mosaic! This class will led by Pinot's Palette artists.
Please put your garden art shape in the seating request section. Choose from a mushroom, gnome, lawn flower stake, square stepping stone, flower pot, or turtle. We’ll help you bring your designs to life.
During this three-hour class, we will teach you the basics, supply you with everything you need and be there every step of the way to help you create a personalized piece to display in your garden. (or home!)
The mosaics will need to dry for 48 hours before they’re able to be grouted. Well demonstrate how and provide you with a bag of grout so you can finish your new garden accessory
Use colored glass to create an explosion of flowers in full bloom in your own, personalized glass on glass mosaic. In this five-and-a-half-hour class, students will take advantage of the unique effects that transparency, light, and color create with mosaic on glass. Participants will complete a beautiful mosaic on a 9 X 7 in. framed, clear glass substrate that will convey the same beauty and qualities of stained glass. This hands-on workshop covers the process of creating a glass-on-glass mosaic including design and layout, proper substrates, cutting glass, different types of adhesives for specific applications, and grouting. Information will be provided prior to the first class to assist each student with ideas for individual designs. Students should plan on coming to the first class with a well-developed design to fit the substrate dimensions. There will also be a variety of designs available. Class fee includes substrate, colored glass, adhesive, and grout as well as use of tools. Specialty glass, tools and take-home kits will also be available for purchase. The cost of the class is $150.00.
The hands-on workshop covers cutting methods and strategies, proper adhesives, substrates, design and layout, and grouting. Your instructor will demonstrate a variety of flower types and mosaic techniques that you can choose to include in your own project. Learn about the effects that transparency, light, and color create with mosaic on glass. Complete a 9"X 7" framed, clear-glass substrate that will convey the same beauty and qualities of stained glass, but with mosaic techniques.
Display your finished piece directly in a window where it will catch the light of the sun and bring a splash of whimsy to your indoor space…
