What Have We Been Up To?
It’s been months of long days and nights, rules and guidelines changing every day, and little-to-no idea of what’s really going on out in the world.
We’ve all had to make changes in our lives, big or small, and have adapted to the “new normal” as best we can.
Through all of this, some people have discovered some wonderful silver linings in their lives and in themselves as individuals.
New hobbies have been pursued, old ones have been improved on, and we’ve all had to become better cooks in the kitchen. :)
Here at Pinot’s Palette, we’ve all been navigating the interesting new way of life but for many of us, we’ve found some great creativity in the process.
**** So, What Have We Been Up To?! ****
Though all of our staff has been trying to make the most of their time and do some great, productive activities, some of the ones we’re highlighting today include:
- Courtney
One of our artists/instructors, Courtney, has been getting creative with her own work, including some that she painted for a friend! The incredible and HUGE sunflower artwork, seen above, was painted in our friend, Kim’s, backyard!
- Jeannine
Our lovely Jeannine painted a stunningly-colorful rooster for our neighbor, 'Egg Harbor’. During the riots in early June, the window was broken and they placed a wooden board over it. Jeannine turned tragedy into beauty and painted this beautiful rooster (as seen on the first page).
- Pam
And as always, the owner of our Naperville studio, Pam, has been working around the clock to keep her small business going through everything. From packing up ‘Take-Home’ kits, to setting up the virtual classes and other events on the calendar, she’s been a rockstar through it all! It’s incredibly difficult to have to close the doors to your small business, which for every small business owner is their entire life, and not know when you’l be able to reopen.
While we’re finally able to open our doors again to a limited amount of people, it’s still very nerve-wracking to see the stats, rules, and regulations of the pandemic, changing each day.
We want to thank all of the customers who have been such an amazing support for us, not only throughout the years we’ve been open, but especially during the pandemic, riots, and all of the stress and uncertainty that comes with them.
We couldn’t ask for a better community to be a part of and that includes our amazing staff here at Pinot’s Palette, Naperville.
*We love them for their dedication, positivity, and of course, their creativity which never ceases, even during the worst of times!
Thank you all and we’re looking forward to seeing your smiling faces, soon!
