DIY Dollar Store Easter Egg Tree
(*These actually make fabulous hostess gifts for a friend or relative hosting an Easter dinner or celebration so keep that in mind).
Crafting is always fun but not always cheap, so the best part about this craft is that all of these items can be found at the dollar store, making it such a deal! The only item you may have trouble finding is the foam cone, as some dollar stores might not have them in stock, but these can be found at any craft store (even check Walmart’s craft aisle) and will still come in at a low price point. When choosing your eggs, think about where you’ll be using the finished product (or who you’re giving it to if you’re making a gift). For a more sophisticated, modern look, choose eggs that are all one color, a mix of only a few colors, or the ones that are pastel colors. Many dollar stores will have multiple types of eggs to choose from so you won’t have to commit to the typical, brightly-colored ones. The crinkle cut grass can be found with the gift wrapping supplies and also comes in multiple colors, so have fun incorporating that into your tree, anyway you like!
All you’ll need to make this craft is:
-1 foam cone
-Crinkle cut, shredded paper (filler) (*or easter basket "grass”)
-foam glitter egg ornaments (or any other colors you like)
-Hot glue gun
Again, everything will be found at the dollar store (even the glue gun and extra glue sticks), but if your dollar store is out, remember to try Walmart for the foam cone and the glue gun (will only cost around $5)! Once you get the technique down for creating this Easter egg topiary, you can do them with ANY materials you like! Try ornaments or pinecones for Christmas, moss or artificial flowers for the spring, leaves or dried flowers for Fall, and candies for Valentine’s day or a Birthday party!
