What Are Some Quarantine 'Date Night’ Ideas?!
Date Night is always something important that we’re told to work into our schedules, no matter how full they may be.
It’s important for us to reconnect with our significant other often, so we can remember us as a “couple”. It’s too easy to get bogged down with all of the other titles we hold like "parent", "employee", "class mom", "soccer coach", "daughter", and more; But taking some time to remember your relationship and role as spouse, girlfriend, boyfriend, or fiancé, is just as important.
Though we’re unable to go out to dinner and a movie, or any other place of a date night, there are plenty of ways to hit one right in your home. East until the little ones go to sleep, or if the kids are older, send them upstairs with their video games, and get to that date night! From getting to know one another over some questions and games, to cooking together, taking virtual tours, and making some art, we’ve got some great ideas for how to spend time together for a fun-filled 'Date Night’!

Host a Beer Tasting
Buy a few different beers from whatever liquor store in your area is open or offering curbside pick-up. Sip them and discuss your favorites. Include snacks like cheese and crackers and sausages and cured meats to enhance the sampling fare.
- Recreate Your First Date!
For couples that have been together for a while, see how creative you can be to re-do your first date… from home. Bowling? Set up some random objects and roll up a tinfoil ball. Met up for coffee or drinks – try to remake those drinks and the conversations from that date.
- Have a Game Night
Board games, card games, video games — all is fair as long as you both can engage in some friendly competition. My husband and I love Mario Kart and Mortal Kombat just because they’re fun stress relievers too.
- Play “Chopped” For Dinner
Don’t act like you’re not already doing this some nights for dinner… You look in the pantry and see what’s left then try to come up with the best dish you can using those ingredients
- See A Movie
With theaters releasing movies meant for the big screens, On Demand, you and your honey can still see the latest flicks, all from the comfort of your sofa. Bonus: The popcorn and candy won’t cost you big bucks like it does outside of the house.

- Take a (Virtual) Trip Around the World
While you can’t get in a car or on a plane to travel right now, that doesn’t mean you can’t see beautiful or interesting new places. Take a virtual tour of the Vatican and the Louvre, or any of the museums, zoos, and theme parks listed here:

- Sweat it Out
Missing your regular couples’ gym sesh? Lace up your sneaks and queue up an online workout class to try together. YouTube is one obvious place to turn, but several local fitness studios and trainers are also offering livestream classes in lieu of their regular sessions.

- Have a Candlelit Dinner
Eating by candlelight makes any sort of dinner romantic. It doesn’t matter if you’re eating boxed mac n’ cheese or filets, that candlelight will set the mood for romance. You can make dinner at home or order some take-out or delivery.
- Go for a Walk Together!
Yes, we can still go outside (in moderation)… so, why not enjoy a nice day or evening with a walk around the neighborhood. If you have a dog, sure, bring fido too.
We can’t wait to see you and your other half for some in-person date nights, soon, we hope!
Stay safe out there and to all of the amazing “essential” workers out there, we appreciate you all! Thank you especially to our doctors and nurses, firefighters, police officers, paramedics, truck drivers and delivery drivers, and so many others out there risking their lives for us!
