----- HOW IT WORKS -----
1- Select The Date And Time For Your Event!
Unlike our public classes, where you have to show up at the date and time that we have the class scheduled for, YOU are in charge of selecting the details that work best for you and your guests.
2- Choose The Painting You Want To Create!
If you’ve ever been to one of our classes or seen our calendar, you know that our staff selects the paintings for each day. We pick the artwork that works best for the time of the year, in relation to the season, upcoming holidays, and popularity of the paintings.
3- Gather Some Great Music To Play!
Doing something creative and relaxing is always made better by another creative and relaxing outlet: Music.
No one wants to sit in awkward silence as they make their masterpieces; They want to be totally immersed in a fun, colorful, melodic atmosphere where they can unwind, get in touch with their inner artist, and let their creativity run wild. Music soothes the soul, expands the mind, and makes everything better!
4- Plan The Food, Games, Gifts, and More!
Most of the time, our guests will arrange to have food at their private events. You can have everyone bring in a dish, potluck style, to help with the workload for the party planners; This is also a great way to have a bunch of different food, all coming from your guests who can give a little piece of themselves in a delicious way; This is a great conversation-starter for an office party, as people can learn more about one another as they talk about the food they enjoy making and swap recipes.
5- Make Your Guest List!
The best part about a private painting party is that you get to select the people who you want to share in this experience with. Unlike our public classes, where you’re painting with dozens of other people, you’ll be surrounded by ONLY people that you know! These parties are such a great way to spend time with friends, family, a special group you’re a part of, or your co-workers in a fun and creative setting, learning more about one another through painting, sipping wine, and great conversation.
----- TEAM-BUILDING PAINTINGS -----
Choose from one of our team-building styles of paintings:
-Collaborative Painting:
All members work together on a large canvas or a collection of large canvases, to create one large piece of artwork that everyone came together and helped to create!
-Puzzle Painting:
Another way your team members can work together and constantly communicate to create a very large painting, made up of multiple, individual canvases! Each person (or group of people, depending on the way you'd like to go...) will paint a section of the overall painting and at the end of the class, all of the canvases get pushed together to form one whole painting!
(*This tends to be one of our most popular corporate selections, especially if you have a large, blank wall in the office that needs some artwork!) There's something so incredible about individuals working together to each create one small piece of an overall product... much like how they all contribute in their own way at work, but it all comes together to help their company in one way or another!
-Mystery Painting:
Another fun one! In this scenario, the boss or person in charge of planning the event may select the painting but no one knows what the final product will look like until they are finally finished at the end of class!
-Musical Painting:
Much like musical chairs, you sit in a seat for a direction or two, then the artist asks everyone to stand up and move to another seat of their choice, or can even utilize the music as guests walk around and have to sit when the music stops! This is another fun way to have a collaboration-style painting class where multiple people work on one canvas to create a final masterpiece in the end.
*This is another one that the party planner can decide upon before arrival and keep secret until the first move!
----- ICEBREAKERS -----
Non-Cringy Ice Breaker (Questions):
People often need some gentle encouragement to let down their guard at a social gathering.
This is where icebreakers come in. Icebreakers are group activities that help everyone relax and get to know each other better. You’ve probably participated in one of these before, whether it was for school, work, church, or some other group.
Because some people dread icebreakers, it’s often best to keep it simple and non-threatening. Asking people to answer a “get-to-know-you” question about themselves is about as easy as it gets. So, to help melt away the awkwardness at your next holiday gathering, here are some fun Christmas icebreaker questions:
** What’s the best – or worst – Christmas present you’ve ever received?
** Describe a Christmas present you wanted badly as a kid, but never received.
** What holiday movie or special do you watch over and over again?
** What’s the weirdest/ugliest Christmas decoration you’ve ever owned?
** What was Christmas like when you were growing up?
** Who is the toughest person you have to buy for this Christmas?
