What’s A Great “Date Night’ Idea For Downtown Naperville?
When you sign up for one of our date night classes, you’ll paint one half of the picture while your “date” paints the other half! Put them together at the end of class to see the final, large masterpiece!
-If you’re loving the painting we’re offering for a specific date night class but want to come in alone or with friends (and have everyone paint their own painting on just one canvas), that’s ok… you can absolutely do that!
-If you’re all about the concept of ‘you paint one and your date paints the other’, you can turn any of our paintings into a 2-piece work of art, whether they’re listed as a date night painting or not! Landscapes, floral paintings, and our modern art paintings are the very best (and easiest) ones to split into two, as they will look stunning as one, large, continuous painting. Look for a painting without a hard-formed subject, such as a person, animal, object, etc; These will look incredible as two canvases, whether they’re hung together or in separate rooms or homes. If you do want to turn a trickier painting into a date night concept (2 canvases), let one of our talented and helpful staff members know and they can give you some tips on doing so!

Bring in your date and we’ll seat you together, her you select a wine or beer, and one of our encouraging instructors will walk you through the 2-3 hour class,taking the painting step-by-step. Our painting and wine classes are perfect for a first date because you’re actively doing something as you talk and get to know one another.

FROM FIRST DATE TO "I DO."
*A real life love story that started with a painting date and ended in “I Do!”!!!
One of our special customers and her (now) husband attended one of our painting classes for one of their first dates! Stephanie and Jason met in March 2016 and attended a Pinot's Palette class at the end of that month as one of their first, official dates!
Jason planned this particular date as something fun and unique to try out! Stephanie and Jason's initial meeting was a set-up by a longtime friend of Jason's who Stephanie had met a few months, prior. The friend who introduced them gave Jason a signed photo of Blackhawks player, Marion Hossa and told him to bring it to Stephanie's picture framing business, 'Colbert Custom Framing', and to be sure and ask for her. When Jason came in, they worked together on the framing design then he asked Stephanie out for coffee. They quickly looked for other ways to spend time together and that’s when they found Pinot’s Palette for a date night idea!
Aside from park district or YMCA programming as children, neither of them had taken a painting class before. Jason is a professional church musician and private piano/organ instructor so he uses that as his creative outlet. Stephanie, the owner of a framing shop, has that great creative side, able to match frames and mats to the artwork that people bring her to frame. Though neither of them had painted since they were younger, Stephanie said, "The class was easy to do, thanks to the instructor and class format, and we had a great time!”
Since their first painting class together, Stephanie has gone back to create more artwork with friends! She certainly has a love of getting in touch with her inner artist as she enjoys attending other crafty classes, such as a mosaic class that her and Jason went to, making a decorative trivet by arranging broken glass pieces and grouting it.
Stephanie said that her and Jason still have their paintings and remember that special first painting class, every time they see them! When they were dating, they took their masterpieces home and each had their own paintings, hanging in their separate homes. Now that they're married and both in the same place, they plan to hang their paintings, together, in their home office and enjoy all of the sweet memories, associated with their handmade works of art! They said they had a great time, getting creative and finding their inner-artists and look forward to attending another painting and wine class at Pinot’s Palette!
This lovely couple were just pronounced, ‘husband and wife’ on June 10th! Congratulations to them and best wishes for a happy marriage and beautiful future together!

July 7, ‘Romance On The Beach’ (*date night class)
This is such a fun date night painting for any couple! One of our most popular date night paintings, ‘Romance On The Beach’ is a painting of a sunset sky on the beach, filled with gorgeous colors. The cool, dark, rugged land in the background makes the perfect juxtaposition against the soft, flat sand at the bottom of the canvas, ready to be inscribed with the message, initials, or other words of your choice, personalizing it just for you!
