What Is A Paint & Sip Class All About?
Enter: Guided Painting Classes, AKA Paint & Sip Classes.
It seems like everyone at least knows someone who has tried it or has even tried it themselves.
Just think: A place where you can create a painting on canvas and all the hard work is taken out of it. The design is chosen for you, and the supplies are all provided along with an instructor to help guide you through the process. It takes all the frustration and anxiety out of creating a painting, so you can sit back and enjoy something new without all of the stress and self-doubt!
Our society is now being driven more toward spending our time and money on experiences rather than just buying goods. The paint night experience allows for anyone at any skill level to get out of their comfort zone, try something new and walk away with more than just a painting; They walk away with a story to tell.
---> The Cost of Paint Night
The cost of an average paint night experience is around $30-$75 depending on the painting for the evening and how long it takes, the type of materials it's on, etc. If you were to create a painting on your own, it would cost roughly $10 to $20 just for a basic set of paints; The problem with buying paints, if you aren’t a full-time artist, is that you’re not likely to use every color in the set and will likely have paints that go to waste.
An unprepped canvas panel can cost anywhere from $8-$25, depending on the size and quality of the canvas. A brush set will cost around $10-$50, depending on the quality and quantity of brushes. You would also need to purchase supplies to clean out your brushes and a few other odds and ends to finish creating your painting and take care of all the expensive equipment you now own. At this point, it’s clear that the cost of buying supplies to try and create a painting on your own far exceeds the $30-$45 average paint night cost.
At Pinot's Palette, you have everything laid out for you in an environment that is meant for the mess and you have the benefit of an instructor to help you along the way. Don’t forget you have the added bonus of not having a bunch of supplies left over or going to waste and NO CLEANUP on your end!
---> What is a paint & sip party all about?
By now, you should already know that a Paint & Sip party is actually an informal art class where, without the pressure of fine art lessons, people without any painting experience can paint a painting from start to finish. To make the experience even more relaxed, the guests can have a glass or two of good wine, Prosecco, a cocktail, or any non-alcoholic beverage.
Many people “believe” that they are not creative. I often hear people say, “I can be sipping very successfully without embarrassing myself and trying to paint something. I have never painted in my life… maybe as a kid at school, but this is different.”
---> A Brief History Of 'Pinot's Palette'
Pinot's Palette was founded in 2009 by business partners Craig Ceccanti, Charles Willis, and Beth Willis. Ceccanti says he got the idea for starting the business after he attended a painting class in Louisiana with his family.[6]
The first Pinot's Palette studio opened in Houston's Montrose neighborhood in 2009.[7] The studio was originally named “Pinot and Picasso.” The name was changed to “Pinot’s Palette” in 2010.[8]
After opening two additional locations in the Houston area, the company began franchising. The first franchised Pinot's Palette studio opened in Katy, Texas in 2010.[4] Since then, the company has expanded nationwide.
