Pinot’s Behind the Scenes: A Spotlight On Alicia
Working at a painting and wine studio might just be one of the most fun and creatively fulfilling jobs out there. From uncorking bottles to unlocking artistic talents, Pinot’s Palette offers a unique work environment that combines relaxation, artistry, and plenty of laughter.
For us, the best part of our studio is the incredible team we’ve assembled to run the studio, inside and out. From bartenders and artists to the multitaskers who do a little of everything, we’re so proud of our staff and the family we’ve become.
Today, we’re focusing on a young, but fabulous member of the team today…
*** Alicia Silva! ***
Alicia is currently a junior, studying Public Health with a minor in Spanish at Purdue University. She’s on a pre-medicine track with the goal of becoming a pediatric cardiologist.
At Purdue, Alicia is involved with 'Higher Ground Dance Company’, as well as the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She shadows a pediatrician once a week in Lafayette, Indiana.
Alicia will be 21 at the end of January, which is what inspired Pam, the owner of Pinot’s Palette Naperville, to do this post about her. The pair have known one another for a long time, as Alicia was about 12 years old when I started working for Pinot’s, doing volunteer work. When she was old enough to get a work permit from school, we hired her as an employee at 15, which, of course for the longest time, made her the youngest employee in the studio. In just a few short months Alicia will be able to bartend for Pinots Palette, which we're super excited about!
We sat down with Alicia and asked her about her experience, working with Pinot’s Palette. It’s a wonderfully unique story and always makes us proud to call her our own.
---> Here’s what she had to say:
"I started volunteering at Pinot’s in 6th grade for their open studios and kids camps over the summer because I love working with kids, and I enjoy painting.
When I was able to get my first job, Pam hired me to be an assistant, where I did some public classes, open studios, and marketing events such as Naper Nights, Artist and Artisan Fair, Pancreatic Cancer Walk, etc.
I love working at Pinot’s Palette because I like working with all ages, it’s always such a fun time! I also love how our marketing events make such an impact on the community, each time I work one of these events I constantly get people coming up to me how grateful they are that we come each year and support our community.”
