With just around 30 miles between Naperville and Chicago, we’re able to visit and take advantage of all that it has to offer, any time we want! With the Windy City, filled with all kinds of historic, modern, and exiting things to do, why not take a weekend getaway to see some of the many art museums it has to offer?!
Of course, here at Pinot’s Palette, we’re all about observing (and creating) some artwork. There are so many incredibly talented artists out there, ready to speak to us through their creations, and most importantly, ready to inspire us. It’s so amazing to see the various forms that art can take on, and to think about all of the creative people who pour themselves into their masterpieces, expressing themselves in so many ways. There’s nothing like a relaxing day, looking at art, getting inspired, and admiring all it has to offer.

This is Downtown Chicago’s #1 Museum, and for good reason, as its permanent collection of nearly 300,000 works of art, including some famous works by Pablo Picasso and Georges Seurat!
The Art Institute of Chicago was founded in 1879 and located in Chicago's Grant Park, is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the United States. Recognized for its curatorial efforts and popularity among visitors, the museum hosts approximately 1.5 million guests annually.
