More Fun Ways To Celebrate The 4th:
Get Sparklers
Sparklers are a great way to bring the excitement of fireworks to your home and are legal in most states (double-check your state’s regulations). Just make sure to follow all safety precautions—sparklers get very hot and young children should not handle them. Make sure to tune into the Macy's 4th of July fireworks on TV, too! They start at 8pm ET on NBC.
Have A Backyard Water Party
Put on the patriotic swimsuits and have the ultimate backyard water bash. Don’t have a pool? The sprinklers and backyard water hose make for the perfect at-home splash pad (and the kids might love this more than the pool itself). Just don't forget the sunscreen.
Eat Red, White, & Blue Treats
From popsicles to the classic red, white, and blue fruit cake, eating patriotic-themed foods will make your day seem extra festive. For easy sweet treats, try one of these recipes: https://www....ith-your-kids
Go camping — even if it's just in your backyard.
There's something about camping that always feels like it's an adventure, even if it's just in your backyard. Whether you're in your backyard or at a campsite, use the 4th of July holiday to get outside and make s'mores, tell ghost stories around a fire, or wake up early for a sunrise hike.
Read a book about American history.
If you've got a little one who doesn't quite know what the 4th of July is about, use the holiday as a chance to teach them more about American history. There are so many great kids' books about history and historical figures like I Am Rosa Parks by Brad Meltzer and Two Friends by Dean Robbins.
Make a festive craft.
Plan a holiday-themed DIY project with the kids to deck out your home in red, white, and blue, like one of these cute 4th of July projects.

Have a Cookout!
There’s nothing better than the smell of burgers on the grill. A backyard cookout is a perfect activity for the long weekend, so throw some hot dogs, hamburgers, or whatever your go-to cookout food is on the grill and have a feast. Don’t forget all the fixins’ and sides like potato salad, fruit salad and cold brews for the parents. And for dessert? S'mores, of course.
Have a hot dog eating contest.
If there's one food that represents the 4th of July, it's hot dogs. If you're feeling adventurous, recreate Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Competition, or if you want something a little more tame (and easier to stomach) try a hot dog taste test where you can try out various relishes and mustards.
Watch a parade.
Wake up early and put on your patriotic best, because if your town is hosting a 4th of July parade, you'll want front-row seats! Be sure to check with your local newspaper or town website to see when and where parades will be happening.
Happy July 4th Weekend! Thank your for your continued support of our small business
