Finding Inspiration for Your Painting and Wine Masterpiece
Art can be a powerful source of inspiration, whether you are an artist looking to create new work, or simply seeking creative ideas in other areas of your life.
There are times when everyone needs a little inspiration, whether it’s for recipes, home decorating, or getting crafty for an upcoming holiday or celebration. There are moments when we just don’t feel like doing anything, and we don’t know where to begin. Even if our to-do list is long, it hasn’t done much to jolt us out of our slump.
Here are some places to start: Enjoy these sources of inspiration where we combine some of our most-loved upcoming classes with the places we found (and you, too, can find) inspiration for them:
----- Van Gogh -----
Van Gogh's distinctive style was characterized by bold colors, impulsive brushstrokes, and a focus on expressing emotions and inner experiences through his art. He often painted landscapes, still lifes, and portraits, as well as a series of self-portraits that are considered some of his most powerful works.
Unfortunately, Van Gogh's work was largely ignored during his lifetime, but after his death, he was recognized as a genius of modern art. His paintings have become some of the most valuable and sought-after in the world. Today, his paintings are beloved for their emotional intensity, expressive use of color, and powerful depictions of the human experience. Van Gogh is one of our customers’ favorites to paint!

---- Monet -----
Claude Monet was a French artist and one of the founders of ‘Impressionism'. Born in Paris, Monet studied art at the Académie Suisse before developing his own style of painting; His style focused on capturing the fleeting effects of light and atmosphere in nature.
Monet's early work was heavily influenced by the Realist schools of painting, but he began to experiment with Impressionism, along with other artists such as Renoir and Degas. 'Impressionism' was characterized by its loose brushwork, emphasis on capturing the play of light and color, and rejection of traditional techniques of perspective and composition.

----- Mandala -----
‘Mandala' art is a type of geometric art that originated in Buddhist and Hindu cultures. The term "mandala" comes from the Sanskrit word for circle. Mandalas are typically circular or square in shape, with intricate geometric designs that radiate out from the center.
Mandalas can be found in many different cultures; They are often used as a tool for meditation and spiritual reflection. In Hinduism and Buddhism, mandalas are used as a way to connect with the divine and achieve a state of inner peace and harmony.

----- Pointillism & Stippling -----
Pointillism is a painting technique developed by the French artist Georges Seurat. The technique involves applying small, distinct dots or points of color to a canvas, which seem to blend together to create the illusion of a larger image when viewed from a distance. Dots of color are placed next to each other rather than blended, creating a vibrant and textured effect that can only be fully appreciated from a distance.
This is our favorite way to add texture to our tree paintings, here at Pinot’s Palette!

Landscape art is a genre of art that depicts natural scenery like mountains, valleys, forests, beaches, rivers, and other natural environments. Landscape art can be shown in many forms, including painting, drawing, printmaking, and photography.
Landscape art has a long history, dating back to ancient times when people depicted the world around them on cave walls and other surfaces. In Western art, landscape art began to flourish during the Renaissance period, with artists like Leonardo da Vinci and Albrecht Dürer creating detailed landscape drawings and paintings.
