Enjoy The Many Springtime Events In and Around Naperville!
Spring has sprung and with the changing of the seasons, comes warm weather, longer days, and freshly-bloomed beauty, all around us. Living in such a naturally-stunning surrounding, such as Downtown Naperville, is a pleasure and honor throughout the whole year, but there’s something about the colors and weather that come with Spring, that makes our city extra lovely this time of year. Days, spent outside this season are among some of the best, but there are other things to do in and around the area that we’d love to share with you and encourage you to try out!
***GO OUTSIDE***
Naperville has no shortage of beautiful scenery, so enjoy the warm weather and time with friends and family (or relax, alone) in one of these locations:
1. Forrest Yoga Walks:
Rejuvenate yourself with forest yoga walks by stepping outside and away from electronics to connect with nature, quiet the mind, and reduce stress. Walks will begin with a brief ecological overview of the area, continue with invitations to deepen connection to nature and self, then conclude with a tea ceremony of locally harvested plants. We'll focus on energy exchange with the natural world, discover our place within it, and foster an appreciation for all that nature provides. During each walk we will pause to tune the body with yoga postures. The walks will be gentle and suitable for all levels. These walks are scheduled to follow the seasonal blooming of native plants.

2. Permaculture Plant Sale:
Come out to the farm to purchase your permaculture plants to guild your trees, begin your edible forest garden or expand your edible landscaping. Permaculture plants include a variety of native and non-native perennial (mostly woody) plants that provide yields for people, wildlife, and earth. We'll have fruit trees, shrubs like currant, honeyberry, and service berry, a variety of plants from large perennials to small ground covers, and maybe even some grape vines. We'll have at least one fruit tree guild on display and for sale. Learn more about this permaculture design that combines a fruit tree with companion plants to yield an abundance of fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs in a small space requiring minimal maintenance. Cash or checks only.
3. Riverwalk
(West Branch of DuPage River)
"Naperville is a unique city and the Riverwalk is a key part of that. Stroll beautiful brick paved paths along the DuPage River that gently meanders through town and beyond. Beautiful in every season! After a short or long stroll ir walk you are within 1-4 blocks of a vibrant downtown area with top notch restaurants in any cuisine you can imagine!"

4. Memorial Day Parade:
It’s customary to hear applause and witness salutes from spectators who line the streets, recognizing the supreme sacrifice of many military families and that freedom isn’t free. Crowds also show rousing respect to units of veterans with flags and to marching bands with many musicians, young and old, performing patriotic songs to remind us that peaceful assembly is cherished in our world.
