Crafting with Nature: Pressed Flowers, Painted Rocks & More
Whether you're doing it solo, with kids, or as a group activity, crafting with nature is a calming, tactile way to celebrate the beauty of the world around us. Plus, it’s sustainable, affordable, and just plain fun.
Want to keep the creativity going indoors? A painting class at Pinot’s Palette is another great way to stay inspired and make something beautiful—no green thumb required. We always have an array of floral artwork on the calendar for you to enjoy and it's some of our customers' favorites!
Pressed Flowers: Preserving Petals & Memories
Pressed flower art is timeless—and so easy to do. All you need are fresh blooms, a heavy book, and some patience. Once your flowers are dried and pressed (usually after 1-2 weeks), you can turn them into bookmarks, greeting cards, framed wall art, or even use them to decorate candles and phone cases. It’s a beautiful way to preserve a moment in time—like a spring walk or a bouquet from a loved one.

Painted Rocks: Little Works of Art for the Garden (or the Coffee Table)
Rock painting isn’t just for kids (though they’ll love it too!). With a little acrylic paint and a sealant, you can transform simple stones into colorful critters, mandala designs, inspirational messages, or seasonal motifs. Use them to add personality to your garden, desk, or give them away as random acts of kindness.

Nature Collages: A Textural Treasure Hunt
Take a walk and collect fallen leaves, twigs, feathers, and bark. Then create a layered collage using cardboard or canvas as your base. You can glue items down in natural patterns or abstract designs, and even paint over or around them for added dimension.
A Bouquet of Pinecones
Pine cones are pretty on their own, but this colorful project makes them even prettier to look at!

Colorful Acorn Necklace
How cool are these? Glue colorful marbles (bake them in the oven first to get the crackled appearance) to real acorn tops to make the most incredible necklaces.
