Celebrate ’World Wide Watercolor Month'
While Pinot’s Palette is all about Acrylic Paint, we, the artists of the studio, are also into exploring other types of art. There are so many things that can be created with different materials like oil paint, watercolors, paper art, clay, yarn, and so on...
Most of these hobbies aren’t much money to get started and supplies can be found at your local craft store; For watercolors, which is what we’re here to talk about, the options are even greater!
You can find supplies for a simple watercolor painting session in the aisles of Target, Your Local Supermarket, Or even the Dollar Store!
Just Start Creating!
Grab some watercolor or mixed media paper and a simple palette and start getting to know the basics. of how watercolor works. It’s so simple to just add some water to the paints and take them to the paper and see waht you can do…
The gist of it: The more water you add, the lighter the color will look and the more it will move (*and of course, the less water added, the darker and thicker the paint will show).
This is always the preferred materials of choice when it comes to paint for kids’ artwork, since watercolors are easy to use, always look beautiful, and are washable!
This month, in particular, we wanted to encourage you as we do with all of our guests, to try something new! For most of the people who enter our doors, “Something new” is a painting class with acrylic paints!
But why stop there?! Grab some watercolors and paper and try some relaxing creative time on your own this month, using the ‘Doodlewash’ prompts as a place to start if you aren’t sure where to begin!
To recognize and celebrate Just as 'WORLD WATERCOLOR MONTH', paint one, some, or all of the Doodlewash July daily prompts.
