Pie and Wine
Thanksgiving is tomorrow and some of us are not as confident as others in the kitchen. Have no fear, Pinot's Palette is HERE!
We did some research with wine pairing with pie! And all you need to prepare with a bottle of wine and a choice of your favorite pie. Pie never fails to make it's annual debut when Thanksgiving comes around, so don't knock it until you try it!
Let's start with Thanksgiving's favorite, Pumpkin Pie! Pumpkin Pie is great with pairing with Chardonnay or Tawny Port which help with the sweetness of the pie!
Apple Pie may be paired with Marsala or Riesling. The classic american dessert assist with bringing out the flavor of the two wines!
For Pecan Pie lovers, don't worry, we haven't forgotten about you. Pecan Pie best pair with Muscat or Gamay! This pairing might not be for every since it might be a bold bittersweet taste.
Sweet potato pie's best partner is a bottle of Pinot Gris and helps wash down the pie with delicious sweetness!
This is our personal favorite, Cheesecake and Ice Wine! Ice wine is richer than most wine and very sweet. It's almost as having glazed fruits right on top of your cheesecake.
We love when our painters, and wine drinkers, get creative! We've host enough parties to know which bottle goes with what food. Wouldn't it be fun to have a wine pairing in one of our class? While we provide the entertainment of teaching you paint step by step, you may sit back, relax and eat your favorite foods paired with your glass of wine. You can even paint and sip with your pinkie straight up. Don't worry, we won't judge!
Let's paint, drink and have fun this Holiday Season!
Cheers Ya'll!
