Bachelorette-iquette! How To "Bachelorette Party" Right!
You are the Maid of Honor or best friend of the bride, and you have now been appointed “Professional Event Planner.” Yikes! Where to start?!
There are so many options when it comes to planning a bachelorette party. You can do something intimate such as dinner and drinks with the ladies or a margarita-fueled weekend in Cabo. Here are few tips that will help guide you to an unforgettable Bachelorette Bash!
WHO’S COMING?
Consider the people who will be attending. Is everyone college buddies or is there a mix of friends and family members of all ages? If you’re all homies, then the sky’s the limit! Book that trip to New Orleans and buy those “special” straws and necklaces. However; if the mother-in-law and Aunt Betty are there…a spa day may be more their speed. You can reserve your Kristin Wiig and Melissa McCarthy antics for when it’s just you and your gang.
CAN EVERYONE AFFORD IT?
When planning your big event, try to take in consideration everyone’s budget. While some of your guests may have very deep pockets, think about the attendees that may not be able to go and blow as they please. To keep some of your cost per person to an affordable price for all, think about organizing car services for everyone to get home instead of pitching in $100 each for a shuttle bus. Plenty of restaurants have complementary private rooms to use instead of renting out a venue and shucking out major bucks!
ORGANIZE PAYMENTS
Now we get to the unfun part of this, but there are ways to make it a little less painful asking friends and family for money. First, organize all of your perceived expenses that are to be divided amongst the group. Allow for those who will not be attending all get-togethers to be able to opt out certain payments. Include all decorations, deposits, alcohol or gifts. Split them accordingly and give the group plenty of time to handle what they owe. Make sure you don't miss anything! You don’t want to hand out receipts after the event and when you’ve already given them a final total.
A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!
Try to keep in mind that this isn’t your every Thursday’s “Girls Night Out”! Do something special! Maybe you’re “80’s Ladies” who are girl’s that just want to have fun. A private spin class with the ”more bizarre the better” workout attire. A Drag Show Brunch with bingo and Mimosas (you know she will get called out.lol)! A nice thing to do for all of your party goers is to make a simple hangover kit you can hand out at the end of the festivities that can include your favorite remedies.
HAVE A PRIVATE PAINT AND SIP PARTY!
Pinot’s Palette is a great place for a bridal shower or bachelorette party! You can cover just about all your bases with a paint and sip event. You will have your own private party, it’s affordable for everyone, you control the price for the food and drinks that you bring, and it’s something fun and memorable since you will have your own painting to take home!
