Life Is Sweet…Despite

I will confess to you that I had this brilliant plan to take a Pintrest-worthy photo of this painting in my kitchen for you, but then I noticed this dishes and my old yellow sink that was never installed correctly. I noticed the vanity light that was installed over the sink and the mismatched bulbs and the literal hole in the wall that was supposed to be for something electrical and so many other procrastinated projects.
In life there seems to be so many chores to do, but I think there is something so healthy about occasionally escaping them. Sometimes I have friends over and they remind me that their house has dirty dishes too and then sometimes I just need to get out of the house!
That little voice of perfectionism and people-pleasing can pick on us all, but shutting that voice up with a good night out with understanding friends and a paintbrush in my hand always seems to put me right again… and the pinot doesn’t disagree either! At the end of the day “Life is Sweet” despite those pesky dirty dishes. My free advice for today is to celebrate the sweet moments and keep on keeping on!
