We don’t really get this question from people; however, I feel like it’s on the minds of anyone who is on the fence of doing something like this. Especially if they believe they’re not so artistically inclined. Ideally, we would just tell you to come try it out and promise you’ll have fun, and you would without hesitation. But, if you need a little more persuasion…

Taking a class at Pinot’s Palette in Leawood taps into your creative side. Many people don’t have the opportunity to be artistic in their everyday lives, and when they do, it’s like opening Pandora’s box. Art, or more specifically, painting, relaxes the mind and body and allows you to think more clearly. You begin to use the other side of the brain, and you begin to look at things differently.
It’s fun and different. What’s your typical date night? Going to a nice dinner and maybe a movie? Share a new experience with your partner and paint! You can’t talk during a movie, or meet new people.
It’s not fine art, it’s fun art! Even if your masterpiece isn’t something you’ll frame on your wall, the experience is what it’s all about. Fun and lively music is played throughout the night that will get you moving and maybe even sing along? So many people are nervous to start painting, because they are afraid to mess up or it won’t look like the instructor’s painting. The most important thing to remember is that it’s YOUR painting and YOUR masterpiece. You want your flair and personality to shine through. We don’t host educational painting courses, we are a fun night out with your friends, family or that special someone. If you’re still nervous, the wine always helps! ;-)
