What is a paint and sip class?

A paint and sip class is a fun social painting experience where a professional artist guides you step-by-step through creating a painting while you enjoy drinks and a fun time with friends and family. What is your capacity for your public classes?

Our Leawood studio seats up to 95 painters between our main and private party room. Seating 63 painters in our main room and 32 in our private party room.

Is there an age limit for the regular public class?

Yes, we are a BYOB art entertainment studio, we also offer a bar with a variety of cocktails, mocktails, wine and beer. We do have kid specific classes, but the normal public classes have the following requirements: 11 to 17 years old with an adult -18 years old and up. No children under the age of 11 are able to attend a class, with or without a reservation. All of our morning or afternoon classes are ages 6 and older with adult supervision. In all of our classes, with the exception of little brushes classes, a reservation is required for all attendees to attend.

How do I sign up for a public class?

Signing up is easy. Click the "Event Calendar" link at the top of the page to view our calendar of paintings. Select which painting you would like to paint and click "Add Painting to Cart." Follow the on-screen directions to complete the order. How much does a paint and sip class cost in Leawood, KS?

Most paint and sip classes at Pinot's Palette Leawood range in price from $38 - $45 depending on the length of class, type of painting and schedule. Your reservation includes all art supplies, a canvas to take home, and step-by-step instruction from a professional artist in a relaxed, social atmosphere.

What are the best times to reach the studio with questions, changes in reservations, party information, etc?

The best time to reach a studio manager is Monday through Friday 11am until 5 pm. Unfortunately, we are unable to answer phones during class times. You are welcome to leave a message and a studio manager will reach out the next morning after 11am.

Can I bring a friend or child with me to just sit and not paint?

Unfortunately we do not allow people to attend our painting classes without a reservation. (Unless it is a parent helping their child paint during a family friendly painting class.)

When should I arrive for class?

We encourage you to arrive 30 minutes before class starts to allow time for you to get settled and mingle with other painters before class begins.

What is the cancellation policy?

Due to the custom nature of our classes, ALL reservation sales are FINAL. However, if you need to change your painting reservation with more than 24 hours notice, you can receive credit to use within 60 days or you may transfer to another class that we have posted on our calendar. If it is less than 24 hours notice, loss of reservation will occur. Please email Leawood@PinotsPalette.com with any questions. For all PRIVATE PARTY deposits, there is a 2 week prior notice required to cancel. If it's less than that, the deposit will be forfeited, or you can move the party with at least a weeks' notice. Every party gets one date change, if a second date change is required, deposit will be forfeited. For our SPECIALTY CLASSES, all reservation sales are FINAL. However, if you need to change your reservation with more than 10 days notice, you can receive credit to use within 60 days to transfer towards another class we have posted on our calendar.

What is included with the class fee?

The fee includes all your painting supplies: canvas, paints, brushes, aprons. We also provide glassware, plates and silverware. The fee does not include wine, but please feel free to bring your own or you may purchase wine or beer from our bar.

I don't have any artistic talent? Will I be able to complete the painting?

Absolutely! Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. There are no mistakes, but Acrylic paint dries quickly, making mistakes easy to fix and perfect.

Can I bring something other than wine? Will there be something to chill white wine in?

You are welcome to bring wine, beer or liquor to Pinot's Palette. There will be a large ice bucket to chill your wine during class. We do expect all painters to be responsible with alcohol on and off premises. We will be checking IDs.

Is there reserved seating?

Yes, we have your easel set up for you at your spot before you arrive for class. If you have friends attending the class that you’d like to sit by, you can let us know when you book the class or you can send us an email (…just make sure to give us at least 24 hours notice).

When does the next month's calendar get posted?

We try to post the next month's calendar around the 15th of the month. If you'd like to receive an email each month when our new calendar is posted, be sure to add yourself to our email list.
