Spring in Park Place Leawood
The ice skating rink has been taken down and replaced with the lovely green turf and Adirondack chairs. The restaurants have dusted off their outdoor seating areas and we see more people are walking around with Paciugo cups. It is officially Spring in Park Place! Here are our Top 5 Things to Do This Spring in Park Place
5. Orange Theory Fitness
It's a great workout all year long, but getting that burst of energy in the Spring will jumpstart your summer bod and get swimsuit ready. Plus, who knows, maybe they'll be doing another bootcamp in Barkely Square like they did last summer? That way you'll work twice as hard with the onlookers from the restaurants. ;-)
4. Shopping
This is a given in Park Place, but it's always fun to freshen up your wardrobe for Spring! Especially if you've been working out at OTF and NEED a new wardrobe. We love Alysa Rene Boutique and they have a great selection for women in their mid 20s and up (my mom and I both love shopping here!). Etiquette Boutique is wonderful for the older teenagers through mid-30s (or for those 40-somethings that rockin' bods!). They always have a fun selection of crop tops, sun dresses and spring sweaters. Title Nine is great for those that live in athleisure (*cough*cough* Me) and like to go from errands to OTF to happy hour.
3. Happy Hour
Enjoy the afternoon sun on The Grille's patio with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc and Shrimp Tempura. You might find yourself staying here into the night and hanging out around the fire pit. If you're done with your OTF workout, then you can stumble out into Pig and Finch's patio area for a post-workout cocktail. I'd say you deserve it. You could go the healthier route and get some edamame or a seaweed salad at RA. If you're not worried about it, and are recovering from your previous day's happy hour hangover, get some fatty foods in your system at Gordon Biersch and follow it with a crisp citrusy beer.
2. Barkley Square
This is such a wonderful area to have when you bring the kiddos to Park Place. Stop in at BurgerFi or Pickleman's and grab lunch to go and take it to Barkley Square. You can chill and eat your lunch and the kids can run around and play while coming back to take a bite every now and then.
1. Pinot's Palette
I know we're partial to #1, but we have so many new wonderful paintings this Spring that brighten up the season. We have family day paintings planned that are great for all ages! And, for the nights that are still too chilly to sit outside, we have fun date nights for you and your boo.
