Last Minute Halloween Costume Ideas for 2022
Halloween is a little over a week away, and if you’re still struggling with costume ideas then we have your back! We always love an excuse to play dress up, and at Pinot’s Palette, we’re always tapping into our creative side. Here are five artsy and creative Halloween costumes for this year’s trick or treating fun!Bob Ross
Bob Ross has been a go-to costume for many years among art lovers, but it is a great and easy costume to accomplish. Buy a brown curly wig, throw on all your denim and create a paint palette out of cardboard and *boom* you’re Bob Ross! Even better if you have a partner that can dress up as one of your “happy little trees.”
Frida Kahlo
Grab your eyeliner to fill in that unibrow and smudge a little on the upper lip, and it’s a great start to your Frida Kahlo costume. If you have long hair, give yourself two school girl braids and pin them on top of your head. Buy some colorful flowers from your local craft store and pin those throughout your braids to create a floral masterpiece atop your head. Throw on a maxi dress or skirt that is extra flowy with a colorful shawl, and you will be the famous Mexican painter! If you want to show your true knowledge of this incredible artist, throw on a men’s three-piece suit and you will be young Frida before she started painting!
Vincent Van Gogh
If you’re a man that can grow a red beard, then this is definitely the costume for you! No worries if you can’t, you’ll still be able to pull off this costume. Simple costume would be bandaging your ear and throw on a button up with a sport coat along with purchasing a red beard. The more creative version would be dressing up like one of his self portraits, but you might have to enlist some friends to help, unless you’re someone who’s insanely talented.
Andy Warhol
We suggest buying a wig for this costume, it will truly make the whole look. Other than that, this should be a very simple costume to put together. A black turtleneck, black pants and some black booties or loafers will complete the look. If you have a pair of clear frame lenses, that would be *chef’s kiss*! Go one step further and carry around a can of Campbell’s soup with you all evening.
Tamara de Lempicka
If you’re feeling a little fancy, then dressing up like Tamara de Lempicka is a perfect costume for you! If you have blonde hair, add some curls and finger waves or buy a blonde wig, don some red lipstick and a green gown and you will be the beautiful Polish painter. Even better, go through some of her masterpieces and dress up like one of her paintings and you will be the elegant, belle of the ball!
