Is there an age limit for your regular public classes?

Yes, we are an art entertainment studio and our events are geared towards adults. 'REGULAR' events are ages 14+. We do have kid’s specific events for Family Day- Ages 6+ are welcome, labeled 'LITTLE BRUSHES'. Children ages 10 and older are welcome to 'REGULAR' events ONLY when accompanied by a registered adult at a 1:1 child-to- adult ratio. Please note, 'Regular' events will have an adult friendly music playlist, whereas 'Little Brushes' events will have more family friendly music playlists. All guests must be at least 21 years of age to purchase or consume alcohol.

When should I arrive for event/class?

We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes before your event starts to allow time to get settled in, grab a drink and mingle before the painting starts. Doors open 20 minutes before your event begins.

Food & Beverage Information

NO BYOB! You are welcome to bring in food for yourself and your group. Let us know if you need paper plates- plastic ware or napkins when you arrive. The City of Elmhurst does NOT allow BYOB. We have a bar in studio with Beer, Wine, Cocktails, Soft Drinks, Coffee, and tea. Please bring valid ID to purchase from our bar. Is there parking near your studio?

Yes ,City Hall's Parking lot across the street is open to everyone Monday-Friday after 5 PM, and on weekends. 3-hour street parking is available around our studio. There is also a free 3 hour parking garage 1/2 block North of our studio at 255 Elmhurst (entrance is next to shell gas station. )

Is there reserved seating?

Yes, we have your easel set up for you at your spot before you arrive. If you have friends attending that you’d like to sit by, please let us know when you make your reservation, or send us an email - just make sure to give us at least 24 hours notice.

What should I wear to paint?

No dress code here...dress casual or dress up. We provide all guests with an apron, but painters have been known to get involved in their work of art!

Do I need a reservation to attend a class?

We ask that you reserve your seats in advance so our team can be prepared for your arrival. Please note that our public event minimum must be met 24 hours in advance of each event, so reservations are STRONGLY encouraged. Walk-in Fee: +$5/person

What do I need to bring to class?

We provide the canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron. All you need to bring are appetizers or snacks you might want to enjoy! We have an in studio bar with wine, beer, mixed drinks, soft drinks, juice, coffee, and tea. We supply paper plates, napkins, and plasticware.

What is the Cancellation/ Class Credit policy?

As we are an event venue, due to the custom nature of our events, ALL RESERVATIONS ARE FINAL & NON REFUNDABLE. Should you need to reschedule your reservation, a minimum 24-hour notice is REQUIRED for groups up to 3 persons. Groups of 4+ will need to provide 4-day notice. Your reservation will be transferred to a 60-day studio credit that can be applied towards a future event, or take home kit. If you do not provide 24-hour notice, or 'no-show', you forfeit your reservation payment. 🟡📧MUST EMAIL Elmhurst@PinotsPalette.com 🟢FOR CANCELATION or TRANSFER OF A PARTY 4 OR MORE, a minimum of 4 DAYS notice is REQUIRED. 🟣There is a 50% fee for all class credit requests within 12 hours of the event. 🔵 * No Credits on: Take Home Paint Kits, Video Kits, Partnership events, or Live Virtual Events.**

I don’t have any artistic talent? Will I be able to complete the painting?

Absolutely! Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. There are no mistakes, but Acrylic paint dries quickly, making mistakes easy to fix and perfect.

Is there a minimum to sign up?

Nope! You can register for yourself, a small or large group! There is however an event minimum. Due to the nature of our events, if the minimum of 4 persons is not met, we will reschedule the event, and you'll receive a 60-day (non extendable) credit to use for any future event. Specialty classes and Kids Camp minimum, along with notice of cancellation will be listed in the class details.

How do I sign up for a class?

Signing up is easy. Click the "VIEW THE EVENT CALENDAR" link on the home page to view our calendar of paintings. Select which painting you would like to paint and click "Register." Follow the on-screen directions to complete the order. Contact us at 630-359-4500 if you have trouble completing your order and we will walk you through the process.

How do I get my supplies for a Virtual Painting event?

Your supplies will be available for pickup on the 2 days listed on your event registration page. You can request an earlier pick-up day/time by emailing Anam at Elmhurst@PinotsPalette.com (Current available Pick-Up Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 1-5:30 PM))
