Turn Those Wine Bottles Into Something Beautiful!
If you’ve ever been to one of our wine bottle painting classes, then you know what we’re talking about…
Taking something that most of us have in our homes and recycling them into something lovely and useful: ARTWORK!
Pinot’s Palette is a fantastic experience that you should absolutely try out (if you haven’t, already). Don’t worry if you’re a first-time painter… that’s what we’re here for! We typically offer a 16" x 20" canvas for the painting experience BUT we also have special classes where we paint on other, unique items! LONG canvases (around 10"x30", canvas tote bags, WINE BOTTLES, wine glasses, and even wooden palettes! We have some fantastic class coming up on May 26 where we'll be painting some canvas tees (*Or you can choose to create your artwork on a canvas if you prefer (*read more, below).
We have a helpful and attentive staff, available to help you with anything you may need throughout the class. One of our talented instructors will walk you through the painting, step-by-step, encouraging you the whole way. You’ll paint, drink wine, listen to some fun music, and have a great experience, spending time with the ones you love in a creative environment. Come in soon and paint some of the great Summer themed paintings that we’re offering and add some seasonal decor into your home! It’s always fun to change a few things in your home to best-match the colors and styles of the season; a small piece of move-able artwork is such an easy way to do this, often, and on a budget. At Pinot’s Palette, we enjoy putting paintings on our calendar that coincide with the various times of the year so the artwork stays interesting, practical, and fun!

Now, if you enjoy crafting and making artwork, then we’ve got some ideas for you and those empty bottles that you likely obtain from time to time. If you’re like us, we enjoy wine at home with dinner, or alone while reading a book, or even with your friends as they gather in your home. You’ve probably wondered what other things you can do with those empty bottles, other than recycling them. With all of our experience in teaching out wine bottle classes, we’re here to offer some ideas and tips for painting some of your own, at home!
Have you been wanting to host a get-together and need a craft for the night? Why not gather the supplies and paint some glasses yourself? You can even turn the theme of the party into a wine and cheese party, since the wine glasses fit right in!
*You can go to any dollar store for a variety of shapes and sizes of wine glasses, (...or other types of glasses, plates, or anything else that is glass or ceramic will work too!). *Craft stores, such as Michaels, carry the special glass paints in a wide variety of colors and types. Just be sure to get paints that say they are for "glass, tile, ceramic"... it'll say on the bottle, what it'll work for. ('Folk Art, multi-surface' are one of our favorites!)- you can even try Walmart for these, too!
*Apply your design with paint brushes, wait for the paint to dry, then you can even bake it in the oven to be sure the design can withstand years of use and even a dishwasher!
(paint directions will indicate time and temperature for baking)
*You can go crazy and add lights to the inside of the bottle, or attach things to the outside with glass glue (or another strong craft glue). Add seagrass, buttons, and more to the bottle to give it texture and a fun look! Use these decorated bottles for a creative and lovely centerpiece at your next dinner party, scatter them around the house for some handmade decor, or give them out as gifts!
