Plan Your Next Date Night With Us!
Like with everything this past year, date nights have probably been different than those of the past. From outdoor dining only, to minimal capacity inside, or if you’ve opted to not go out to a restaurant all together, just the simple act of getting dinner has felt odd. Masks are required everywhere we go, and the constant risk of getting sick has been in our minds for far too long…
BUT, we’re making it through, and we have a lot to look forawrd to!
Theres nothing wrong with getting creative with a date night, and we're talking creative" as:
**Think outside the box (like you’ve had to do the last 12 months), getting creative with the way you and your significant other spend time together--
**AND get creative (literally) with your next night out OR IN!
Let Pinot’s Palette be a part of your next date night! Whether you’re eager to come to the studio to join a class or you’d prefer to paint from home, we’ve got you covered there too!
OUR VIRTUAL CLASSES ARE A TON OF FUN for all ages and can easily be followed from the comfort of your own home (or anywhere!).
Here are some tips for your next painting Date Night:
1. Match Your Colors :)
When mixing, colors use only one palette! It is a challenge sometimes to get the same color every time even when mixing the same colors. So, make sure to mix enough paint that both of you can paint both of your canvases ensuring the colors match perfectly!
*If you want the paintings to be genuinely “to each their own” and are ok with the colors and styles being unique to the way each painter creates it, then go for it! There’s certainly something charismatic about having one large collaborative work of art made up of different canvases!
There’s always a good story to tell when someone asks about the artwork! :)
2. Push Them Together
If you are painting the same feature on each side of your canvas, make your canvases touch! Ie: a horizon line or whatever is meeting in the middle of your canvases. Putting them next to each other helps keep everything in line!
*If you prefer to have them split apart as you paint, that’s fine too; Just gently slide you easels and canvases together from time to time!
3. Reconnect!
When creating art together don’t forget to communicate. It is super easy to get wrapped up in your own creation but remember you want to spend this time reconnecting and making a masterpiece that you can hang on your wall!
Whether you’re in the studio or painting from home, remember to take some time to catch up and bond over this shared creative experience. You’ll likely learn a lot about your significant other (or a first-time date) when you try something new and make some art together!
