Nine Fine Facts About Wine
Our painting and wine classes are all about the concept of learning how to make a work of art while you’re about to sit and enjoy a glass of wine with your work. We proudly stand by the belief that anyone can paint, but with the majority of our customers being first-time painters, a little wine always helps to relax any nervous painters (and bring about a little creativity).
Though our studio is currently closed, we always have a bar stocked with some excellent choices of reds, whites, and sparkling wines, ready for you to choose from when you're in the studio for a class!
With wine dating back more than 9.000 years, there’s obviously a large amount of information out there about it; We’ve done a little research and found some really interesting facts about our favorite spirit.
Enjoy!
(1) Red Wines are well attributed to positive health benefits. It lowers your chances of having a stroke compared to non-drinkers. For men and women who drink moderately, it lessens their chance of developing Type 2 diabetes by 30%
(2) Why is wine stored, laying down? If the bottle is standing up, the cork could dry out and dwindle, possibly dropping into the wine.
(3) Women are more inclined to the effects of wine than men. This is partly because they have less enzymes in the stomach lining that is needed to break down alcohol simply.
(4) The oldest known wine cellar is on the Titanic. When divers went down to the wreckage, surprisingly most of the bottles were still intact.
