Paint, Drink, and Namaste
Join us on February 25 (from 2:30-5pm) for an extra-special painting and wine class at Pinot’s Palette, Brier Creek! Not only will we be offering our typical, guided painting class, wine and beer menu, and super fun environment, but we’ll be adding one more relaxing and fun layer to the event: YOGA!!!
If you live in or around the Raleigh/Durham area, join us for this class where there will be 30 minutes of Yoga before, during, and after painting!! Bring all of your friends along to join in the fun of this event and be sure to dress comfortably. We will be painting ‘Yoga Coast’, a beautiful and relaxing painting of a stunning, colorful sky with a silhouette of a *woman, in a peaceful yoga pose. (*Image can be changed to a male silhouette, as well).
If you’re really into yoga, you’re already aware of the major benefits that can come from the steady practice. Soothing and calming your mind, getting in touch with yourself and the way your body works, and learning just how important breathing techniques can be, are just some of the immediate results you’ll get for a session. In addition, there are tons of other benefits from partaking in some yoga from time to time.

Deep breathing, calming music, and relaxing poses have been long-known to help relieve some of the stress in our daily life and have even, effectively aided in the reversal of symptoms of depression in some people.

2. Healthy Heart (+blood pressure)
Deep breathing can help lower blood pressure. Mind-calming meditation, another key part of yoga, quiets the nervous system and eases stress. All of these improvements may help prevent heart disease, and can definitely help people with cardiovascular problems
3. Controls Diabetes
Regular yoga practice can also help in controlling diabetes. Some of the postures that can aid in controlling diabetes and have evenbeen prescribed for diabetes. Controlled tests on diabetic patients resulted in improved diabetic conditions for the majority of people who had undergone some sort of yoga training.
4. Cures Stomach Disorders
Gastric troubles can be relieved by practicing yoga. Certain postures help in controlling gastric troubles, tone up abdominal muscles, increase gastric juices, and improve digestion. These postures are simple forward-bending postures where one has to touch one’s feet without bending the knees and take it forward to an extent that the palms must come under his or her feet with ease. This can help you get relief from a wide variety of gastrointestinal issues.
5. Increased Strength and Flexibility
Build strength, improve range of motion, and increase flexibility in just a few yoga sessions!

Deep, cheast-opening, breathing exercises like those used in certain yoga poses, can help to alleviate the symptoms of asthma and other inflammatory lung issues.
