10/18 Elvis Costello & the Imposters
Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts
Elvis Costello & The Imposters will hit the road once more this October, after more than a year without concerts, in a show entitled "Hello Again." Costello & The Imposters will perform songs from the pages of his formidable songbook. “Hello Again” will also see the first stage performances of songs from the future, as the band time-travel in all directions.
The Imposters are: Steve Nieve – piano and organ, drummer, Pete Thomas and bassist and vocalist Davey Faragher.

39th Annual Raleigh Greek Festival
October 1-3
This will be a drive through event at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with an authentic Greek dinner and pastries prepared by the church. $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and ages 13–18, free for children under 13.

Triangle Oktoberfest

The seventh annual Triangle Oktoberfest offers family fun, traditional Bavarian food, authentic German beer, live music and more. German cars will be on display and the U.S. Veteran Corp’s Rappelling Team will be in action. Free for kids ages 16 and younger, $20 on Friday 5–10 p.m.; $25 on Saturday noon–5 p.m. and $20 5–9 p.m.

The State Fair is a North Carolina autumn tradition, complete with rides, performances, food booths from all over, agricultural exhibits, art shows and more. $10 for ages 13–64 if bought in advance ($15 at gate), $5 for children 6–12 ($7 at gate), free for children ages 5 and younger, $5 for seniors 65 and older, $8 for military members.
