That’s right… The internet sensation that’s been blowing people away….. Ivy Kite The Aussie!
***** Ivy Kite The Aussie *****
There's a modern day Pupcasso living and working in Charlotte, North Carolina.
She has been featured on People Magazine and Entertainment tonight
She is an Aussie who paints and her paintings are sold for Pet Charities
The family has owned Ivy since she was a puppy.
They knew right away that she was capable of doing artistic things.
The first thing they taught Ivy to do was get a beer out of the fridge for her (21+) children.
Then she was taught to get water and soda as well; She would go get which ever was asked for
She was taught standard commands like sit, shake, etc..
People were asking if she could learn "such and such" and then someone suggested painting.
Her owners use positivity (rewards) and a clicker for trainings.; She gets treats for all of her work.
Ivy also knows how to put coins in a piggy bank and even how to sort the laundry (gets all of the socks out) and puts them in the washer.
----> About Her Paintings <----
There's a wait list for her paintings
It takes her 3-4 weeks to paint one
The family met with a artist who suggested to just have her add one color at a time so they don’t mix. so she will add one color each time she paints.
She paints on Mondays
Her fave color is blue
Her owner chooses colors for her each time
And she gets exited - she sees the materials come out and she knows it's time to paint!

This is the heartwarming story about a dog who uses her painting abilities to give back and help others.
Ivy Kite is an Australian Shepherd from Charlotte, North Carolina who creates incredible works using a customized brush and easel and has raised thousands for charity, according to Caters News.
Her mom Lisa Kite, a retired nurse, spreads out a canvas once a week and paints before giving Ivy Kite the brush, per reports.
Lisa initially encouraged Ivy Kite to use a specialized brush to make watercolor strokes. She eventually moved on to Crayola kids’ paints and now makes her vibrant artwork with acrylics.
Ivy Kite quickly discovered how to hone her talent after receiving some chicken breast as a reward.
While holding her custom paintbrush between her teeth, the creative canine chooses her color and then works her magic. Ivy Kite’s favorite color, according to Lisa, is blue, but she is more than willing to accept requests.
The dog artwork is sold on Instagram under the handle @ivykitetheaussie, with prices ranging from $50 to $500, with all proceeds going to different charities.
In the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, the two raised enough money to donate 15,000 lbs. of goods to food banks, per reports.
***** PAINT YOUR PET with Pinot’s Palette! *****
We often offer a class called ‘Project Pet’, an event where you can paint YOUR pet on a canvas with the guidance of our artists.
Most recently, as the exampe for this special class, we painted Ivy Kite and are going to auction it off for charity (that is, if Ivy’s Mom doesn't decide to keep it - She absoutely loved our artist’s interpretation of her) — Photo, above.
We LOVE to partner with rescue groups to do paint your pet fundraisers and we paint one of their fosters as part of the event that can be given to the family who adopts it.
We are always looking for models to paint during our class
After allowing us some time to share on our wall we give the painting to the owner. All we ask is that the owners bring the dog in to pose with the painting and then share the final result on social media and tag us!
Want To Have YOUR DOG As The Model For One Of Our Classes??
