Spreading Joy Through Art Targets Nursing Home Patients
Bring art to the masses is part of our mission, and fulfilling that obligation doesn't mean we have to be in the studio.Bring art to the masses is part of our mission, and fulfilling that obligation doesn't mean we have to be in the studio. Each month we hold hundreds of events across the country--and for each event we have a very special painting. Each night when the artist gets on stage, they create a masterpiece while taking the class step-by-step through the curated painting for the evening. We can't sell this painting and it's often a duplicate. As a result Pinot's Palette has a lot of extra paintings made by professional local artists.
Being that we are committed to our communities, what better way to give back than to give the gift of art? As the events come and go and the paintings begin to stack up we run out of space and need to donate them to worthy causes. Many of our paintings end up in hospitals, resale stores, and schools, bringing the joy or art and color to dull walls.
Recently, Beverly and Dennis Walker out of Brandon, Fla. partnered with a local organization to brighten the rooms and spirits of residents in a local nursing home. The residents were thrilled and the Walkers got more of their storage space back to make room for more paint, canvases and brushes. Read more about their story here: http://www.t...nts-20151230/
