Support Local Small Businesses

Shoppers are invited to kick off the holiday season by patronizing the many small businesses in the Webster Groves and Kirkwood area on Small Business Saturday on Nov. 29. With the diversity of the local shops, shoppers are sure to find that special gift for even the most finicky on the list. "I think Small Business Saturday is an opportunity for the community to celebrate the holiday season and to show their support for their local businesses," said Donna Poe, executive director of Downtown Kirkwood Special Business District. "It's really gratifying for businesses owners to have all the people come in and be supportive on this particular day. It's very energizing for them."People are just really excited for it this year," Poe said. "It turned into a pretty big day."On Saturday, take the time to meet shop owners and take advantage of the day's promotions.
